ANTIDOTE FOR LIFE’S PAIN: NATURE’S LOVING HUG

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. – John Muir

The pain of life surrounds me and almost seems to consume my very existence. I didn’t ask for this. My life is in complete disarray from the dreams in my mind. I feel so much pain but don’t know what to do. It’s as if I am drowning in this pool of pain!

How many of you can relate to this type of pain? Has life ever dealt you a card you didn’t want? Or, expect? If your human like me, you have probably been dealt a number of such cards. However, what’s more important to me, is how you are facing this struggle! In other words, I don’t want to see you drowning in the pain. Rather, I want to be your teammate that pulls you from depths of life’s challenges!

During these times, it is easy to focus upon your suffering which leads to a weakening of your mind, body, and soul. Slowly, your condition is broken down and the suffering seems to increase. You need a way to keep your condition up and recharge your mind, body, and spirit.

But how?

The simplest and most effective way is to connect with the world around you. That’s right, get up, go outside, and begin to appreciate the beauty of this world. Your goal is to connect your spirit with the energy of the world. This leads to a recharging and strengthening of your mind, body, and spirit.

To do this, you must first go outside and be still. Let go of everything in your mind. Begin to engage all your five senses as you explore the world around you. What do you see? What do you hear? Mimic the slow movement of the trees as the wind blows through them. Experience this world as if this was the very last moment of your life as you attempt to soak in all you can.

Just sit there in stillness for as long as you need. Soon you will begin to feel a calming connection to the world. This connection will help to recharge and strengthen your mind, body, and spirit. It may not take away your problems but, it will help to restore your condition. Enabling you to see solutions and allowing you to weather the storm longer.

For this to bring great benefit, it is very important for you to let go and deeply allow yourself to experience the beauty around you. It’s not always easy to do. But once your spirit connects, it’s as if the world around you is giving you the most loving hug you have ever experienced!

So, the next time you are dealt one of those suffering cards. Take some time to experience nature’s beauty. Allow the beauty of the world to give you that loving hug you so greatly need!
